South, beyond the serpent ravine lays the Tanglewoods, inhabited by the much hated elves. Unlike elves that most people know, the tanglewood elves are not tree-huggers or ‘one with the wood’. Hell, they’d be more then happy to tear down a tree to make some toothpicks. They are an industrious people who are interested in expansion, they breed quickly and unlike normal elves they tend to live to only about forty human years.
For them, when a good place is found for a town, the land is consecrated and a large hall or temple is erected in its centre. From there the town will grow around it. And when the hall is unable to hold the town’s population within its walls, scouts are sent out to find a new location for a new town. Thus their need for constant expansion.
While the serpent ravine has made expansion difficult, make no mistake, they already have plans in motion to move in. There are many different tribes, all of which have their eyes set on the rich lands of Corrin.
